Our Story
Pages & Play is an IB-centred enrichment centre that aims to guide young learners to adopt learning in a curious and reflective way. We believe learning should be thoughtful, purposeful, and grounded in understanding—not rushed or mechanical. Through this approach, we build strong learning habits, independence, and confidence from an early age.
Beyond academics, Pages & Play adds meaningful value to children socially and culturally. Children learn how to express ideas, listen to others, collaborate respectfully, and appreciate different perspectives. These skills matter because learning does not happen in isolation—how a child thinks, communicates, and relates to others directly shapes how well they grow in school and in life.

Our Philosophy
At Pages and Play (盛远探学园), we believe that the early years are a time of profound discovery, when a child’s wonder becomes the foundation for lifelong learning. Our philosophy is rooted in a simple, powerful idea: young children are not just preparing for life: they are living it fully, here and now.
Guided by the International Baccalaureate (IB) Early Years Framework and our values of 思辨 (Critical Thinking), 探究 (Inquiry), and 成长 (Growth), we nurture children aged 3 to 6 through a play-based, inquiry-driven environment where curiosity is honoured, ideas are explored, and every child is empowered to grow at their own pace.
Our classrooms are vibrant spaces of language, exploration, and expression. Through stories, conversation, art, and nature, we build literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional understanding in ways that are meaningful, joyful, and developmentally appropriate. We view each question a child asks as an opening—to wonder, to think deeply, and to understand the world through both heart and mind.

Welcome to Pages & Play, Singapore’s first preschool enrichment programme designed to introduce children to IB-inspired learning, thoughtfully integrated with multi-faceted experiences that nurture curiosity, confidence, and future-ready skills from an early age.
Pages & Play IB approach places strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning, where children learn by exploring, questioning, and making sense of the world around them.
In our Pages & Play IB-inspired enrichment for preschoolers, learning is designed to be transdisciplinary, allowing concepts to connect naturally across language, play, and real-world experiences. This creates a more immersive and meaningful learning journey for young learners.
What sets the IB philosophy apart from more traditional approaches is the way learning is observed and understood, rather than measured through narrow testing. As educators, we find that conventional assessments do not fully reflect how young children learn and grow. By focusing on play-based inquiry, cross-curricular skill development, and varied forms of observation and documentation, we gain a clearer picture of each child’s thinking, communication, and progress.
This approach allows us to understand not just what children know, but how they learn – providing a more holistic and developmentally appropriate view of their learning outcomes.

以我作为教师的角度来看，让孩子在以 IB 理念为核心的幼儿课程环境中学习，能帮助他们在符合发展阶段的情况下，自然熟悉 IB 课程架构、教学方式及教育理念。
在这一阶段，孩子正建立重要的基础能力，包括大肌肉与精细动作发展、社交与情绪管理能力，以及自信心。Pages & Play 的 IB 学习框架正是为支持这些关键发展领域而精心设计的。
相较于较为传统、过早强调学术技能的教学方式，以 IB 为核心的启发式学习更注重在游戏、探究与引导式探索之间取得平衡。学习通过以游戏为基础的探究进行，并在有目的的学习体验中融入自由游戏时间。
在 Pages & Play，我们的教师非常重视帮助孩子建立友谊、培养独立性，并安心地适应课堂日常。我们的目标简单而重要——让孩子感受到学校是一个充满快乐的地方，在这里，好奇心被鼓励，学习自然而然地发生，并充满乐趣。
About Pages & Play’s IB-Inquiry Programme
Pages & Play’s curriculum is inspired by the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP), focusing on inquiry-based learning to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and holistic development in children aged 3 to 6.
Our programme encourages young learners to ask meaningful questions, explore real-world concepts, and construct knowledge through play, storytelling, and hands-on activities. We emphasize bilingual learning in English and Mandarin to build strong communication skills.
Guided by IB’s learner profile attributes, our teachers nurture caring, reflective, and open-minded children who develop creativity, collaboration, and communication skills — essential for lifelong learning and success in primary school and beyond.
